Describe your relationship with food in three words.

Everchanging, Pleasure, Nourishment

If you weren’t a street food trader what would you be doing? Tell us about your journey.

Being a business man has been a part of me since I was a child selling sweets on the playground. Myself and my business partner Harry would not have it any other way!

What would be your last supper or your last meal on earth be if you could choose?

Dates and water if I was choosing wisely. Otherwise lasagne with boneless chicken wings, a fiveguys double cheese burger, and a strawberry mojito.

Who would you love to cook for (past or present)?

Muhammad Ali

What is your foodie guilty pleasure?

Donner meat from the ‘ole beat up shops in East London. And the not good for you kind of fried chicken

What’s been the hardest thing so far?

Building brand awareness and establishing a strong customer base

What’s been the highlight so far?

Countless events where I have met customers face to face and built relationships expanding networks. Also the tonnes of lessons learnt

What advice would you give to people who are thinking of starting their own street food business?

I’d say business like anything is massively about consistency. What you put in is what you get out. It requires consistent action and hard work. If after consistency over a long duration you’re still failing it may be time to make a change. Also it is all by the qadr of Allah if you are a believer in Allah so tie your camel and work hard!
