We’re proving just that with our guide to halal Michelin starred restaurants in London offering lunch menus for less than £30. Most of these restaurants offer at least two courses so you can fill your stomach without draining your hard earned cash!
Amaya
For £26 per person, the Amaya platter offers six tasting options and a dessert which is the equivalent of three courses. This is also available on the A la Carte menu on weekends. Lunch is served Monday to Saturday from 12.30pm to 2:15pm (last orders 2:30pm) and on Sunday from 12:45pm to 2:45pm (last orders 3.00pm).
Halal Status: Lamb and chicken are halal.
Jamavar
Lunch is served at Jamavar between 12pm and 2.30pm. Two courses are £22 and three courses are £27 (this menu is also available as an early bird dinner option between 5:30pm and 7pm).
Halal Status: Chicken, beef and lamb are halal. Game meats are not halal but there is no cross-contamination between halal and non-halal meats.
Tamarind offers two courses at £21.50 or three courses at £24.50, making it one of the cheapest lunch menus on this list.
Halal Status: Halal chicken and lamb are served. No other meats are listed on their menu.
Gymkhana
Halal Status: Lamb, chicken and goat are halal.
